Flying Fish

Every week at Hull’s Artlink/87 Gallery on Princes Avenue, our Gallery Explorers group for 7-16 year olds meet to work with contemporary artists to develop their confidence, discover new ideas and processes, and learn about creative careers in a unique and exciting environment.

The younger group (aged 7 – 11) worked on the theme of Flying Fish and were inspired by the work of different artists - especially Paul Klee’s ‘Fish Magic’ , where the artist scratched away at a layer of black paint to reveal further layers of bright colour underneath.
